Privacy Policy — Tidy Bookmarks

Tidy Bookmarks does not collect, transmit, or share any data. Specifically:

• No network requests. The extension makes no calls to any server, analytics provider, or third party. Everything it does happens locally inside your browser.
• Bookmarks permission. Tidy Bookmarks reads and modifies your Chrome bookmarks (via the chrome.bookmarks API) only to display them on the new-tab page and apply actions you take (rename, reorder, archive/collapse). This data never leaves your device.
• Storage permission. Tidy Bookmarks stores its own settings and per-folder state (collapsed/archived flags, the favicon-only display preference) locally via chrome.storage.local. This data is stored only on your device and is not synced to any external service by the extension.
• Favicon permission. Used only to display each bookmark's site icon, fetched through Chrome's built-in favicon cache — no external image requests are made by the extension.
